Court Forces Iverson to Make It Rain
Allen Iverson, long considered one of the NBA's bad boys (despite not really doing anything all that bad, and recently being overshadowed by half the NFL), has $260,000 fewer reasons to live today. A jury has awarded this amount to one of two men suing AI because they were lucky enough to get in a brawl with his entourage at a club in Washington in July of 2005. The two say they were assaulted for not leaving the VIP area when Iverson was coming in, but AI says the charges are BS.
Iverson testified last week that he didn't see the fight, and was whisked out of the club before the brawl became serious. He said the two men suing him were merely trying to cash in on his fame and fortune... The jury found that Kane (AI's bodyguard) was liable for assaulting Godfrey, who was awarded $250,000 for pain and suffering and $10,000 for his medical bills. Iverson was found negligent for failing to supervise Kane. The jury did not find either of the men liable for assaulting Kittrell.
Damn Kittrell! Looks like you missed out on payday, son! Maybe you should wait outside of the Lava Lounge and see if you can get Tank Johnson's crew to throw down. What's up next for Iverson? Another lawsuit, for essentially the same thing:
Iverson faces another lawsuit for another nightclub fight involving his security in Hampton, Va. That happened less than two weeks before the Washington fight.

That would be great if Kittrell beat up Godfrey and stole his 260 large.
"I'll show you pain and suffering..."
