Poor Jeff
Tommie Harris was only one of many star athletes at Donovan McNabb's charity golf tournament this weekend. Former teammate Jeff Garcia was also in attendance. Garcia said he felt "personally snubbed" by the Eagles. That's not really surprising because the fact of the matter is, the Eagles snubbed him. You can call it a business move. You can call it a personal decision. You can call it whatever you want, but at the end of the day, the guy who led the Birds on a rather electrifying, unpredictable playoff run last season was snubbed by the Eagles.
One quote I wanted to highlight from the Inquirer article was when Jeff commented on the drama that never really existed between he and McNabb, "As a matter of fact, a couple of weeks ago, I was going to invite him out to my event, but I knew he was rehabbing. But he sent a jersey out for us to raise some money for our charities. It's important for me to be here to support him, and when I have things going on, he's going to be supportive of me. That's the way it is. It's unfortunate people want to create something negative out of something that's really positive."
Stupid media. Speaking of..
- Bill O'Reilly of Fox News got kicked out of the Mets locker room this weekend for not having the proper credentials. I enjoyed the FanHouse's creative take. [FanHouse]
- Yep. The bullpen. They were looking good until Eaton got himself into a little bit of a jam there and Manuel pulled him. I didn't think it was a horrible decision at the time, but some of the callers on WIP yesterday were killing Chuck. Meh. Lose. [Inquirer]
- Thanks to the Yanks, Phils remain 2 back of Mets. [ESPN Standings]
- Trent Cole on what he's going to do during his month off before training camp, "I've got a bass boat. I'll take a couple trips, because there's a bunch of lakes in Ohio. Ohio's a big state. I'm going to do some trapping, because I've got to get some varmints off my farm. There's some coyotes. We're going ATV riding, too. I'm getting away from the city life for a while where I ain't going to hear no sirens." [Inquirer]

THIS PIC is basically an exact replication of my bedroom in High School. I'm so cool/pathetic, I can name every one of those record sleeves hanging on the wall. And I still own half of them. Sega Genesis + NBA Jam = fun.
I would've love to been at that Undr Crwn release party. I have a buncha shirts from them, my favorite being the Allen Iverson "PRACTIC3?" tee.
And the car I bought last week has Navi inside it. It's a necessity.

I swore I got a case of vertigo (i.e. "Cold Ass") while viewing those Comcast Tower photos. Either I have an non-addressed fear of heights or I'm a big ol' pussy. Probably both.
