Randall Bar: A Lunch Time Snack

A reader sent these photos over and put the delicious Randall Cunningham candy bars up on ebay.  Unfortunately for you the bidding has ended.  It's not every day you find a former NFL star in chocolate candy bar form (with caramel!)  Do any readers remember these things?

I don't remember the Randall Bars, but he definitely cornered the "scrambling" franchise with the hats and shirts (note the "scrambled" with peanuts and caramel label on the wrapper).

I do remember that sweet-ass flat top.

Yes, I remember them. These candy bars were probably the downfall of Antone Davis.

ring back the black shoelaces with gold tips.

randall was ahead of his time in so many ways.

definitely! "scrambled" line is the best.

Haha those were great- look at that hair too. I really miss the entire randall cunningham era.

I think Gilbert Brown had his own candy bar too...

i remember those. i still have a wrapper that i saved from one

Thanks for the mention Enrico. I put them back up on eBay, in casse anybody is looking to seal these in plexiglass and place them on the mantle piece...quite the memento...

These were great.
I used to have to cut weight to play football while I was in grade school. Sometimes I would have to drop almost 5 lbs from the day prior to the game. Needless to say that after starving and sweating up to 5 lbs in roughly 24 hours, I was a hungry boy. At that point there was nothing that got me more prepared for a football game with a quick shot of energy like a Randall Bar.
Ahhh memories...

Yes, I have two Randall Bars that have been in my freezer since '89

If we observe from every direction our children are being bombarded with candy. Chocolate bars, suckers, gum and assorted gummy candies line the checkout lanes in grocery stores. During lunch hours school fundraisers sell candy bars, cookies and brownies in the hallways.

I remeber going to a taping of the Randall Cunningham show in 1992, and these were on every seat. If you found the autographed one, you won his personal seats to that week's game! I remember that we had just lost in Washington, Ron Burke was the host, and i was wearing my "He's Back..Srambling" hat and t-shirt. I will always love Randall!

Tasted pretty good, too.

I have one that's been in my refrigerator since it was purchased...anybody interested?
