Does Jevon Kearse Care More About Partying or Playing Football?
I think it's safe to say that Jevon Kearse's play on the field has never matched the expectations put on him when he signed a 8 year, $66 million
dollar deal in 2004. Jevon was off to a great start in 2006 before
going down with a season ending injury. How will he bounce back? Many
are reporting that Jevon Kearse is extremely underweight. Some say he
has lost as much as 30 pounds this off season and looks more like a
wide receiver than a dominant defensive end.

I dj at a bar in Newark, Delaware and one night Jevon Kearse rolled up with a whole crew of underage girls that go to U of D. They didn't stay long because the bouncers would not let the little 20 year olds drink alcohol. Does he really need to be partying with 20 year old college girls???????

Come on, who loses thirty pounds partying too hard? I'd be more inclined to believe that he has a tapeworm.
Kearse's game is quickness, and I wouldn't be surprised if he's trying to come in lighter to compensate for a step he fears he lost due to the injury, especially since age and foot problems seem already to have cost him a step. Also, he may have wanted to minimize the stress on the repaired knee during rehab. He'll be somewhat heavier for the season (someone call Mrs. Claus from Rudolph!), but I'm guessing he weighs less because he decided to weigh less, not because he's indifferent.

I've seen him at Delaware partying - if you've seen the girls that go there you wouldn't blaim him.
He lost weight intentionally - not because he's not working out. He dropped the weight so there's less stress on his knee. He was doing a lot of cardio and was reported to be 1% bodyfat (which is impossible, but nonetheless he's in the low single digits).
His playing weight is 265 and right now he's 241. He should be 250-255 by training camp so I don't think it should be something fans should worry about. Kearse is said to be just as quick as he was before the injury.

Good. Glad everyone is so upbeat and positive.
Now, maybe when he gets some of his weight back along with his speed, he'll make some plays this year.
