Breaking News: A-Rod Seen With Stripper; Me on TV
What's that? This is old news? Like two weeks old? Damn. I hadn't been able to get a video of the piece on these here Internets prior to my sticking a camera in front of the television. But yes, I was invited to come down to the Comcast studios for a SportsNite piece and chat about how the Internet is helping change the way athletes' personal lives are covered in the news.
For the most part I think I held my own. I didn't think the quote they used of mine was particularly one of the better things I said out of the maybe 10 minutes of conversation I had, but come on, how can I compete with Geraldo. That guy is so money.
I did get a kick out of how they don't mention where they found the Pat Burrell photos or drunken athlete photos. Why not mention the sites you found them on?
Enjoy.

Great job, Enrico! Loved the clip. Really enjoy the site, the ignorant sports fan that I am. Between you and Matt, this is by far one of my favorite sites to read while I drink my coffee, listen to iTunes, and pretty much don't work at all while I'm at the office. So thanks!

I agree, this is my favorite site to peruse when I am sitting around doing nothing in the office all day. Best sports blog around.

I hear Pearl Harbor was bombed...are you going to cover that?
Nice job getting the plugs in.

Awesome. I've always said The 700 Level is required reading for philly sports fans.

Nice input Enrico, I'm happy they didn't take the dumbest thing you said and make our little abode look childish. Don't get all famous and credible on us though.

enrico - sorry about not getting you this clip myself. i'm a loser when it comes to forwarding video. as for why we didn't mention the sites? time constraints, pure and simple. the run time of that piece was 4:00 (which by itself is 2:00 longer than a typical 11:00 sportscast). but even csn has time constraints.
by the way, that was definitely your best soundbite (just kidding). thanks again for the time.

At least you're better looking than Geraldo.

It's the mustache, Enrico. Never underestimate the charisma of a carefully cultivated mustache. People think, "His mustache has nice points; I wonder if his mind has nice points to make, too..."

Oops, sorry. Not really sure how that happened--prob my own lack of a pointy mustache.
