Great Eagles post by Jason Weitzel of Beerleaguer to get Enrico's Italian Holiday off and running today. I'm a big fan of the writing and angles he shares on his site, so it was cool to read his take on the Birds. It's going to be an interesting couple of weeks with the guests we have in store. • The Phils ran a train on the esteemed Brewers' bullpen last night, making the previously untouchable (yet ugly) Derrick Turnbow look like the guy who lost the Brew Crew's closing role last season. • The Flyers re-signed the only player on their roster to lead an NHL category last year, Gentle Ben Eager, penalty minutes. As an illustration that hockey is proud of the brawling everyone whines about, the photo that accompanies this story on the launch page at the Flyers' official site has ol' Ben throwing fists (the pic in the link is a more contemplative side of Ben). Whie I'm here, some thoughts on the Phils TV commentary:

Have you noticed Harry the K and Sarge have been stepping all over each other lately and Harry just keeps plowing through him?

Wheels and Sarge need to shut up about flowers.

I'm glad we keep getting updates on how Sarge Jr., the Steriod User is doing.

Love it when Harry refers to Ashburn as 'His Whiteness'.
