Eagles Interested in Keyshawn?
Word on the blogs is that the Birds may show some interest in Keyshawn Johnson. And just in case you're not familiar with Keyshawn's most recent work:

Keyshawn was actually really impressive during the draft. He seemed to know what he was talking about.

One of the highlights of being at day 2 of the draft was the banter back and forth between keyshawn on the espn stage and the jets fans in the balcony above him. It was some top notch heckling/man love type action. The jets fans kept telling Keyshawn to "come home" and were quoting his book, etc.
It was hilarious especially cause Keyshawn was playing right back at them. Good stuff.

I was pretty pissed when I heard Keyshawn was going to be doing this. Why get rid of one Michael Irvin for another? But I agree, he was mostly really good and with some work he could definitely become a professional.
I wouldn't mind if the Eagles picked him up for a season. They certainly don't need him, but if they can convince him to take fewer snaps, the Eagles could use a 3-wide formation with Key and Brown out wide and Curtis in his natural slot position, plus still have Westbrook and L.J. on the field.
I don't think he's a regular starter on this team though. Brown and Curtis are both better at this point in their careers, Baskett is a better jump ball guy, and Avant gives you special teams work plus he will be good in 4-wide sets. Greg Lewis would be the odd man out, but I don't really see Keyshawn coming in to replace a guy that only had 14 catches last season.

I'd welcome an old vet like Keyshawn. But my question is how are the Eagles doing this with their cap? I saw on their site that DT Scott from the Bears is in town too. I don't see it happening with Johnson, and after the mess with TO can we really use another ego?
Enrico, I'd disagree that he wouldn't be a starter. Brown, Curtis, and Johnson would be the starters, hands down. And it would be glorious...
