Pat Burrell Flips Off Tito
Philly Burbs blog has the details of Burrell giving the bird after taking Dice-K yard in his major league ball park debut.
Pat had just taken Dice-K deep for a two-run homer when the camera followed him chatting with Rod Barajas in the dugout. Harry and Wheels were guessing as to what they were talking about when Burrell, seemingly in good humor, flipped Francona the bird from across the field. After a shot of Francona laughing, the recovery went a little something like this:
Wheels - “Uh, oh.”
Harry - “I think he’s telling Tito that he’s number one. Heh, heh, heh.”
Hat tip to Bugs & Cranks who got the screen grab.
That's the Pat we're looking for! Bash homers and tell the other team to f#@k off! Now just keep this going all season.

That's also the number of big hits that Burrell got last year. Let's hope he can surpass that total this year.

If Pat showed more of this kind of playfulness/heart/life the fans would give him more slack.
Nothing like a truly meaningless home run to cement your reputation.
