The Mustache Rides On
Sal Fasano is headed north of the border, having signed a minor league contract with the Blue Jays. He will be invited to try to win a roster spot with the club in spring training. I can’t remember a player as average as Fasano becoming so popular with Phillies fans, with the backup catcher even earning himself a fan group. I’m sure it had more to do with his throwback-Mario Brothers-porn star appearance than his ability to call a decent game, but I know I was sad to see him go (especially to the Yankees).

Sal is just a fun guy. He's not good, he's barely serviceable, but hey...great stache!

I am looking forward to seeing Sal at the Rogers Centre this spring, hopefully he can bring his blue collar work ethic to the rest of the Jays. It's time to dethrone the Evil Empire.

If he makes the time, I'll try and get it going, I will definitely by a t-shirt. I'll be making the trip to Philly in May when the Jays play there. What section did Sal's Pals sit?
