Found this story over at Blinq, perhaps the most unnerving line from the ABC article:
For retired NBA star Matt Geiger, opting for a supersize Florida homestead was a slam-dunk.
They called Matt Geiger a retired NBA star. And they say blogs are perpetually inaccurate.

Please note it was that other blog that called him a retired NBA star. I called him a gargantuan former Sixers plague, I believe.
