MLB enlisted superstars Chase Utley, Roy Halladay, and Hunter Pence, along with young stars of the future John Mayberry Jr. and Mike Stutes to share their encouraging words in a video in coordination with ItGetsBetter.org.
The Philadelphia Phillies join roughly ten other MLB teams who've produced such a video aimed at all youngsters, but also specifically those in the LGBT community. The movement and organization was started a few years back by syndicated columnist and frequent Colbert Report guest Dan Savage. Videos have been made by such wide-ranging figures as Barack Obama and the aforementioned Mr. Colbert.
It's great to see the Phillies doing their part to show those who may need to hear it that things to, in fact, get better.
